一期一会: The idea that each
moment is unique and should be
treasured because it will never
occur in the same way again.

Our interface offers a brief
yet immersive journey into
the transient beauty of each
passing moment.
インスピレーション
Inspiration Behind the Project
The Pantheon, a marvel of ancient Roman architecture, features a
remarkable oculus at its apex. This circular opening allows sunlight
to filter into the structure, creating dynamic patterns of light that
shift with the passage of time.
As the sun traverses the sky, its rays enter the Pantheon through
the oculus, and illuminating different sections of the interior.

周期性
periodicity
When the sunlight hits different points inside the Pantheon, it
reminds us that every moment is unique and will not be
repeated, just as every day the position and the angle of the
light is different inside the building.
The light puts under the spotlight the marginal elements that
are not noticed: a tile, a window or a picture, thus reminding us
that these elements are no less important because together
they create a wider and bigger picture.

The movement of the light beam inside the Pantheon space across the dome and the floor for a whole year (in relation to the equinoxes) and at the same time.

交差するサイクル
Intersecting Cycles
The interface mirrors the rhythm of Shibuya's bustling
intersection, with a 3-minute cycle comprising a
2-minute interval for vehicle traffic and a subsequent
1-minute cycle for pedestrian movement.
Throughout the vehicle cycle, a video depicting the
flow of vehicles at the intersection is showcased.
During the pedestrian cycle, many buttons populate
the screen, mimicking the live scenario of the
intersection, with each button opening a video that
follows a person currently crossing the intersection.
It emphasizes the uniqueness of each moment as
pedestrians navigate the intersection in their own
unique way.

デザイン
UI design
Embracing the principles of simplicity and order, we wanted
to create an interface that countered the chaotic energy of
Shibuya's busy intersection. Using clean, uniform buttons and
sharp typography, our design evokes a sense of calm amidst
the chaotic pace of urban life.
