I LOVE YOU

We created a Kipo-inspired piece to express the phrase “I love you” through two central threads representing love and connection. While traditional Kipo encoded numeric data, these threads introduce emotion and intimacy into a rational system.

02

DISTORTION

We distorted the Kipo system by tying knots that intentionally broke its structural logic. The result is a visual language that resists interpretation, a system that speaks in glitches.

02

DE-CONSTRUCTION

We deconstructed the Kipo system by applying its structured, data-driven logic to encode a sentence. Instead of quantifying values, the knots here form language transforming a counting tool into a communicative one.

Interaction between two different objects

This project explores the intersection of memory, emotion, and biometric data through a system inspired by the aesthetics and logic of Kipo. Using a pulse and stress sensor, we collect physiological responses triggered by personal memories. The data is then translated into a visual code: a single thread that joins a collective structure, placed alongside others with similar biometric patterns. In this way, unseen emotional states become visible forming unexpected connections between people through shared bodily responses.

FINAL PROJECT

How does the body respond to something you thought you’d already forgotten? Can a memory still move you, even when there are no words?

This project is about what happens beneath the surface and how to give it form.

Connection Points

Connections is an interactive project that explores the emotional traces left by memory.

Inspired by the visual structure of Kipo, we created an experience that invites viewers to revisit a personal moment and observe how the body responds.
