INTERACTION LAB VISUAL COMMUNICATION UNIVERSITY OF HAIFA SCHOOL OF DESIGN

// Dog Park

In this research lab, I explored how dogs communicate emotion and intention - toward other dogs, humans, and their environment. The focus was more on visual interpretation: observing and simplifying their gestures, expressions, and movements into clear, readable forms.

// 01 - I love you

By analyzing canine body language, I represented closeness through scale—enlarging the dog’s head beyond its frame—and used visual repetition of the tail to depict wagging in a static medium.

// 02- Series 1- DE-CONSTRUCTION

How recognizable is a dog’s behavior when parts of its body are visually removed?

// 02- Series 2- DISTORTION

How recognizable is a dog’s behavior when conflicting emotional signals are combined?

// 03- Motion

One dog interacting with itself

Two dogs interacting with eachother

Few dogs interacting with eachother

The conclution from this mission was that I dont like the simplified dogs but I do want to work with the concept of Dog Park

// 04- Final Project

Dog Park / Ginat Klavim

Dog Park is a 2D interactive game that explores the dynamics of dog behavior through playful simulation. The project focuses on how dogs interact with one another and with humans, using looping animations, real-time reactions, and emotional states. It presents a playful, visually-driven interaction space that captures simple social cues between dogs and humans.
